Solarglide watches the Toon

Last wednesday, Solarglide went to watch Newcastle vs Everton at St James Park.

The trip was to enlighten Duncan, a massive Coventry City fan, on what the North-East footballing community had to offer.  This of course is pure disappointment, frustration and discontent.

After a good start, the game quickly revealed Newcastles true colours as Wayne Rooney gave Everton the lead after a horrendous goal keeping mistake; which all fans in the North East have become accustomed to. Apart from a few near misses from Newcastle, the game lived up to expectations, dull and boring.

Next time I think they'll watch a proper team in action, Sunderland AFC...

Football aside, Duncan thoroughly enjoyed watching the Magpies in the executive section of the stadium and stated: "It was great to finally watch Newcastle play! My highlights would definitely be the beer and watching all the geordies froffing at the mouth with anger! I'll definitely be back when Coventry play Newcastle in a few seasons time....".
